OWB Developments
A heating and plumbing firm incorporated in 2024, with almost no photographs to its name. The design carries the credibility instead.

Warm houses, warm buildings, and almost no photographs to show either
Most trade websites lean on pictures. OWB Developments was incorporated on 19 October 2024, so when we started there was no picture library to lean on: a handful of phone photographs, no Google Business profile, and no reviews anywhere. The work is good. There was no evidence of it lying around.
Three directions, one chosen
We put three finished homepages in front of him rather than one. Precision, Hearth and Systems: same business, three arguments about what a heating engineer's website should feel like. He chose Precision, and it became a written design lock that the build is still held to today.
The design does the work the photographs cannot
The site is set in Nippo and Satoshi on petrol slate and bone, with a single hazard yellow rationed so hard that if it appears more than four times on a page, the page is wrong.
Services are a numbered schedule on hairline rules: index, title, description, and a right-hand column reading Install, Service or Repair. Not three rounded cards. It reads like a specification, which is what an engineer's competence looks like on paper, and it costs nothing in photography.
Where a photograph is good enough to fill a screen, it fills the screen. Where it is not, the hero is type on petrol slate and no stock image is bought to cover the gap. That rule is written into the design lock so that nobody quietly breaks it later.
Two audiences, built as a matched pair
He works for householders, and for landlords and managed buildings, and those two want opposite things. Commercial had a page of its own for a few days while domestic did not, which meant a homeowner was reading landlord copy. So Homes and Commercial were rebuilt as deliberate mirrors: identical type hero, identical section order, identical furniture, completely different argument. The pair only works if the two are built the same and say different things.
The marine side left, and that was right
He bought a separate domain for his marine work partway through the build, so the marine page, its photographs, its slot in the nav and every mention of it came off this site in one pass. One trade, two kinds of building, one domain. The best photograph on the site left with the marine material, which is how the type-led hero rule got its first real test.
His own logo, rebuilt
The mark is his, not ours. It was redrawn cleanly, keyed off its background, set in the group blue, and recomposed so the letters and the word beneath them hold together at nav size and at favicon size.
Live
The site moved off the Hostinger website builder onto our own hosting, over https. Seven pages.
Scope
Design and build, three-direction concept board, logo redraw, copywriting, image cropping and grading, hosting, domain cutover, and a written design lock the build is held to.
