Signal Red Studio

We are a small digital studio at Abbey Hall on Buxhall Road, Great Finborough, a couple of miles west of Stowmarket in Suffolk. We design software, build it, and then run it.

The work is mostly for UK small businesses, from sole traders up to teams of around fifty. Everything is designed, built and supported in the UK. No offshore subcontracting.

What we do

Four service lines, and they overlap more than a list suggests. Most jobs start in one and touch two.

  • AI adoption and automation. We map how the business actually works, time the repetitive jobs, and show you which ones are worth handing to a machine and which are not.
  • Custom software and apps. Web applications, internal tools, customer portals and APIs, for businesses that have outgrown off-the-shelf products.
  • Brand and web design. Identity, visual systems and conversion-led websites. Strategy first, no template kits.
  • SEO and growth. Technical fixes, content and local search. Every engagement starts with an audit, never a link package.

The engineering side

Alongside the digital work we do electrical distribution system and wire harness engineering. That runs from redrawing and re-sourcing an existing harness, through full EDS design, through to manufacture.

For that work we use a range of industry standard tools, including TorqCAD, the most advanced new EDS tool in the industry. What we sell is the engineering, not the software.

Existing IT support clients

Managed IT support is no longer one of the four lines we lead with, and it is still running exactly as it was for the clients who have it. Monitoring, patching, backups and the helpdesk continue on the same monthly terms, with no annual lock-in.

The page is still there, and we are still taking on IT support work where it sits alongside something else we are doing for you.
